In the museum's permanent exhibition, we present the we present the story of Valga area nature, history and culture from ancient times up to today. We offer guided round tours in Estonian, Russian, and English in the museum and the city of Valga. The exhibition can be visited with an audio guide device speaking in Estonian, Russian, English, Finnish, and Latvian. In the Gallery, we host about ten different exhibitions each year (paintings, sculptures, handicrafts, etc.). We offer museum lessons for schools. For the wider public, we organise various projects, and every summer an open air era-themed festival takes place in the park behind our museum. It has also become a tradition to hold annual Estonian-Latvian history conferences.
We are open from Wednesdays to Saturdays from 11 AM to 6 PM and on Sundays from 10 AM to 3 PM. The museum is closed on public holidays.
