Photo Contest WONDERFUL VALGA COUNTY
Valga Museum, Valga Open Youth Center, and Valga Central Library in cooperation with the Estonian Librarians Association announce the photo contest "Wonderful Valga County".
Have you captured a wonderful moment or place in Valga County with your camera or phone? Write a short creative text to accompany the photo and send your work by October 15 to kristi@valgamuuseum.ee.
Photo contest conditions:
- Age 13-26 years (inclusive)
- Photo taken in Valgamaa
- Add the location and date of the photo (day.month.year)
- Author's name and age
- Along with the photo, send a short creative text characterizing the photo/scene/event (poem, story, etc.)
- Text author's name and age
- The photo and text author may, but do not have to be the same
- One author may submit a maximum of 6 photos to the contest
- Adding or removing objects in photos is not allowed (except minimal editing to improve the overall impression)
- Send the work in jpg format. If the file is too large to send via email, use e.g. https://wetransfer.com/.
Photo contest categories:
1. Valgamaa Nature 2. Valgamaa Cities 3. Human Activity in Nature
*In addition, we will determine the people's favorite based on the number of Facebook likes.
Prizes for the best in each category from the sports equipment store MaratonSport!
All contest entries will be posted in a separate photo contest folder on the Valga Museum's Facebook page, where the people's favorite will be determined by the number of likes.
The best works will be featured next year in the Valga Museum's educational traveling exhibition "Wonderful Valgamaa".
Want to participate in the contest but lack ideas or skills?
We offer the opportunity to participate in a free photo walk and/or creative writing workshop. The photo walk takes place on September 13.
