Creative Writing Workshop

On September 24 at 3 PM, we invite those aged 13-26 to a creative writing workshop "How to Say That...".

The workshop is led by Maarika Mark (Tartu Folk University). Maarika has graduated in Estonian language and literature from the University of Tartu. She has several years of experience in writing training and has participated in writing camps in England.

No prior writing experience is necessary to participate in the workshop. It provides the basic principles of creative writing. The exercises are fun, interesting, and sometimes downright peculiar, but certainly not boring. The focus is primarily on imagination. The aim is to stimulate young people's creative self-expression and guide participants to think "outside the box".

The workshop is part of a collaboration project between Valga Museum, Valga Open Youth Center, Valga Central Library, and the Estonian Librarians Association.
