This year, 2020, has been declared the Year of Digital Culture by the Ministry of Culture. The goal of the year is for new generations to embrace our own living culture and heritage, and for digital solutions to support this.
Valga Open Youth Center, Museum, and Central Library are celebrating the Year of Digital Culture with a joint project "Valga House with Lions". The project is funded by the Ministry of Culture and the Estonian Librarians Association and is aimed at young people aged 12-26. The project's objective is to introduce young people to the museum and library collections and involve them in organizing events and documenting local history.
As part of the project activities, we organize various workshops, resulting in a video clip introducing local history and cultural heritage, a so-called virtual exhibition of the Valga House with Lions.
