The objectives of Valga Museum Council include planning the main directions of the museum's activities in order to improve daily museum work, and to discuss important issues related to its activities.
On April 1st, 2026, according decree No 75, Valga Municipal Government approved members of the Valga Museum Council as follows:
Sander Jürisson − Chairman of the Council;
Jüri Konrad – Deputy Mayor of Valga Municipal Government, Vice-Chairman;
Virve Tuubel – Estonian National Museum;
Esta Mets – Foundation Valga Patriotic Education Permanent Exhibition;
Ester Kukk – Valga Museum Friends Society;
Jaan Luht – Representative of the Valga Municipal Council;
Üllar Kruusik – Representative of the Valga Municipal Council.
